About Us

Founded in 2024 SMV Training Limited was established following Lifesaving Learning Limited's Director Wendy Cook and Principal Trainer Steve Cook TechIOSH merging to form a new Safety, Management & Vocational Training company hence our name SMV Training Limited.

Our mission is to provide an engaging learning experience for all. 

Wendy is a Post Graduate in Education  and has a background in teaching and provision of teaching aids to the education sector. An experienced first aid and safety instructor who has also  welcomed a return to her teacher training with delivery of City & Guilds Introduction to Training and The Level 3 Award in Education & Training. 

Wendy holds a  

 Degree in Sports Science and Psychology - University of Chester

PGCE Education Primary Teaching, 

NEBOSH General Certificate, NUCO First aid Instructor 

Catastrophic bleed instructor

Defib instructor

Wendy creates engaging course content to ensure learners grasp the learning outcomes and leave with a secure understanding of the subject taught.  

A highly motivated and experienced Health & Safety Trainer with experience in custodial, aviation and critical infrastructure sectors as a Trainer and Operations Manager. Steve has a wealth of industry experience and has taught in many sectors throughout the UK and overseas including Egypt, Kuwait, Morocco and Sweden.  

Steve is a Technical Member of IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health), and holds:

NEBOSH General Certificate

NEBOSH HSE Certificate in Health & Safety Leadership

Certificate in Counter Terrorism Studies. “Centre for the Study of Terrorism and Political Violence” (CSTPV) University of St. Andrews. 

Level 3 Award in Education & Training AET HABC

Steve writes, develops and delivers bespoke training including, leadership & management, conflict management, and customer service skills.

Lisa is a chartered member of IOSH with an MSc in Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental Management.
